$500 WORTH OF COUNTRY FAIR GAS CARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT

 LABOR DAY WEEKEND EXPECTED TO BE DIFFICULT

  ERIE, PA – Labor Day Weekend is normally one of the three worst weekends of the year for blood usage so having a safe blood supply before the holiday is important for public safety. The local blood supply has been in and out of shortage territory for about a month.

The Community Blood Bank has once again teamed up with Country Fair to give out 25 gas cards (with a total value of $500) at random on Wednesday. The gas cards range in value from $15 to $100 and donors who don’t receive a card still receive a coupon for a 6” sub from Country Fair so no one goes home empty handed.

“Labor Day weekend is approaching fast and we need to be ready.” Said Dan Desrochers at the blood bank, “We’re hoping for success with another great event from Country Fair!”

 The Community Blood Bank of NW PA & WNY is licensed by the FDA and holds permits from the New York Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Health and has been saving lives since 1966. It is accredited by the AABB and CLIA and is a member of America’s Blood Centers.

 ERIE, PA –The Community Blood Bank is starting the New Year off with one of its most popular promotions. The Country Fair Great Gas Card Giveaway returns to help bring the blood supply back to pre-holiday levels. The first 100 people to come on Wednesday January 2nd at the blood bank’s main office at 26^th and peach Streets in Erie will receive a $15 Country Fair Gas Card when they give blood. Doors open at 8am.

 Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds & not be sick. No tattoos or piercings in the past 12 months. No appointment is needed.

 “We are so grateful for Country Fair’s generosity.” Said Dan Desrochers, Director of Marketing at the blood bank, “So drive on down, top off the blood supply and get a gas card from Country Fair to start the New Year right!”

 The Community Blood Bank is closed Tuesday January 1^st for the New Year’s holiday.

Country Fair’s Great Gas Card Giveaway a HUGE success!

Standing room only Monday morning July 2nd at the Community Blood Bank’s main office at 26th & Peach St. in Erie PA.  

The Country Fair Great Gas Card Give Away was a HUGE success at the Community Blood Bank, the first 100 people to come on Monday July 2nd  received a $15 Country Fair Gas Card when they gave blood. Doors opened at 8am and there was a line. 70 donors signed in during the first hour. By comparison a good day at the blood bank is 50 donors.

The Community Blood Bank is raffling off a $100 Country Fair gas card for donors who arrive after the $15 gas cards have been all given away. There is also a $100 gas card raffle for Tuesday July 3rd for donors.

“We are so grateful for Country Fair’s generosity.” Said Dan Desrochers, Director of Marketing at the blood bank, “The blood supply will be at safe levels for the holiday because of Country Fair!”

 The Community Blood Bank is closed Wednesday July 4^th.

 ERIE, PA –The Labor Day Weekend is one of the three worst weekends of the year for blood usage and the Community Blood Bank and Country Fair have teamed up for a promotion that should help recruit blood donors before the weekend to stock up. A turbocharged version of the Country Fair Great Gas Card Give Away is back at the Community Blood Bank. One donor Tuesday and one donor Wednesday will each win a $250 Country Fair gas card and all donors both days will receive a free coupon for either a 12 ounce coffee or a fountain drink.

 All donors are strongly encouraged to donate at the Community Blood Bank, 2646 Peach Street.  Community Blood Bank is open from 8a.m. to 6p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 9a.m.—12:30 p.m.
