ERIE, PA – The Community Blood Bank is trying to get the local blood supply back up to 100%+ like it was before the holidays and everyone’s favorite TGIFriday’s has stepped up to help. The first 75 donors who donate blood Thursday will receive a free appetizer certificate generously donated by TGIFriday’s on upper Peach.

 TGIFriday’s will be serving some of their wonderful appetizers Tuesday from 11-1 for donors too!

 “We want lots of people to come give blood before the first weekend of 2013,” Said Dan Desrochers Director of Marketing at the blood bank; “We are so grateful for the generous support of TGIFriday’s”

 The Community Blood Bank, 2646 Peach Street, is open from 8a.m. 6p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday 9a.m.—12:30 p.m.  Photo ID required.

 The Community Blood Bank is licensed by the FDA and holds permits from the New York Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Health and has been saving lives since 1966. It is accredited by the AABB and CLIA and is a member of America’s Blood Centers.

The first 75 donors who donate blood Tuesday will receive a free appetizer certificate generously donated by TGIFriday’s on upper Peach.

 TGIFriday’s will be serving some of their wonderful appetizers Tuesday from 11-1 for donors too!

ERIE, PA – The Community Blood Bank reopens its doors Tuesday morning at 8am and the rush will be on the recover from the Christmas Weekend and to prepare for New Year’s. There are several promotions this week to entice donors to spend 30 minutes of their holiday time to save a life. The first 75 donors who donate blood Tuesday will receive a free appetizer certificate generously donated by TGIFriday’s on upper Peach.

 TGIFriday’s will be serving some of their wonderful appetizers Tuesday from 11-1 for donors too!

 “We really need to be ready for New Year’s Weekend,” Said Dan Desrochers Director of Marketing at the blood bank; “We are starting the with blood supply lower than we’d like so every donor is important.”

 ERIE, PA –Labor Day Weekend is traditionally one of the three worst weekends of the year (July 4^th is first and Memorial Day is second), and AAA is predicting a 10% increase in holiday travel. To get ready the Community Blood Bank with TGIFridays: the first 75 donors receive a card for a free appetizer  and one lucky donor Friday will win a round of golf for two plus a cart donated by Whispering Woods Golf Club. TGIFriday’s will also be providing food from 11-3pm.

 The late Labor Day holiday also pushes back the start up of High School and College blood drives. These drives normally end any leftover summer shortages quickly.

 “Labor Day is always tough for us,” Says Dan Desrochers Director of Marketing at the Community Blood Bank. “People enjoy the last bit of summer and usually delay giving blood.”
