ERIE, PA –The Lake Erie Speedway knows how hard the summer is on the local blood supply so they have really stepped up to encourage donors to Race On In and give blood this week, June 25-30th 2012.  Everyone who comes to 26^th and Peach St. to give blood get a 6-pack of tickets for the races next Saturday July7th.  Donors all week can enter to win VIP passes to a box & other great Lake Erie Speedway items.

 The Community Blood Bank is trying to stock up before the July 4^th holiday which is on a Wednesday this year creating problems for the local blood supply with so many people travelling and taking time off.

ERIE, PA –The Lake Erie Speedway knows how hard the summer is on the local blood supply so they have really stepped up to encourage donors to come and give blood this week.  The first 100 donors (starting Monday morning) who come to 26^th and Peach St to give blood get a 6-pack of tickets to opening night on Saturday May 26^th valued at over $50!  Doors are open from 8AM to 6PM.

 The Community Blood Bank is preparing for Memorial Day Weekend (one of the three worst weekends of the year for blood usage) and everyone is encouraged to give blood before the summer blood shortages begin.

BLOOD SHORTAGE WORSENS

Heavy Weekend Usage

 ERIE, PA – The recent shortage of type O and type A blood is worsening as local patients continue to use more blood than is being donated at local blood drives. This past weekend saw a tremendous usage of blood by local patients. This summer has been difficult right from the Memorial Day weekend start. Everyone is encouraged and give blood before situation turns critical.

Lake Erie Speedway’s Coca Cola Races next Saturday night

 ERIE, PA – Coca Cola Enterprise Bottling Company in Erie heard about our struggle to provide enough blood this last month of summer and they generously donated tickets to Coca Cola night at the Lake Erie Speedway next Saturday August 14^th.   The first 25 donors who come to 26^th and Peach St to give blood Friday get a pair of race tickets!  Doors are open from 7:30AM to 6PM.

 This is the third time tickets to Lake Erie Speedway have been donated to the Community Blood Bank this summer because donors really love them.

 There is still a moderate blood shortage locally and the Community Blood Bank will continue to struggle until after Labor Day. Everyone is encouraged to give.
