HOW SWEET IT IS TO GIVE

First 75 donors at 26th & peach in Erie on Valentine’s Day ( Tuesday February 14th) receive a baked trea from Icing on the Lake!

The Community Blood Bank and locally owned Icing on the Lake have paired up to give blood donors a sweet treat this Valentine’s Day.  The first 75 donors this Tuesday, February 14th, will receive a Valentine’s Day cupcake or cake pop courtesy of Icing on the Lake.

Donors all week long can also enter to win gift basket full of baked goods valued at over $100 courtesy of Icing on the Lake.

Heavy use of blood at the area hospitals has reduced the current blood supply. The Community Blood Bank is appealing to people of all blood types, especially O+ and O-, to come and donate blood as soon as possible.

“How sweet it is to give this Valentine’s Day!” says Brittany Yost, community outreach and program coordinator at the Community Blood Bank.  “We are so grateful to have the support of Icing on the Lake to help us replenish the local blood supply.  So come in and give from the heart and help to save the lives of local patients.”

Community Blood Bank is the exclusive provider of blood products to all the hospitals in Erie, McKean, Elk, Potter and Warren counties and Titusville Area Hospital.  The Community Blood Bank is also the primary supplier of blood and blood products to all the hospitals in Chautauqua, Tioga and Allegany counties.
