Summer prizes every day = Tuesday 1^st 60 donors get a summer bouquet from Joel’s Flower Shop

ERIE, PA – ‘Enjoy Summer While It Lasts!’ this week at the Community Blood Bank! There are special prizes every day to help end the current local blood shortage. This Tuesday the first 60 donors who come to the blood bank will receive a summer bouquet generously donated by Joel’s Flower Shop. Wednesday one donor will win a 4-pack of tickets to Kennywood.

The heat seems to be affecting the blood supply. Fewer donors come in each day but blood use remains heavy.

“This summer has been great weather-wise,” Says Dan Desrochers Director of Marketing at the Community Blood Bank. “But that actually makes the shortage worse so please come give blood this week.”

The Community Blood Bank is located at 26^th and Peach and is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 12:30pm. No appointment is needed to save a life.
